TRAPPIST BEERS
Trappists are a Roman-Catholic monastic order founded in the 17th century. This order became famous mainly for making their own products like jam, cheese and beer, of course. There are eleven Tappist breweries worldwide (as of July 2021), five of them in Belgium, two in the Netherlands and one each in Austria, the USA, Italy and the UK. Trappist beers are very popular everywhere in the world and comprise a wide variety of styles. They are brewed exclusively by monks or under their supervision. The brewing process has to be done either inside the monastery's walls or in its close proximity. The biggest part of sales revenues go to social projects. We are pretty sure that these monks love beer as much as we do, and that's why we have dedicated a complete category to them and their beers.
